From deep within the darkness of the savage caves dwell the green skinned, glowing red eyed, wicked, goblins.  Born into a naturally hostile environment, these sentient beings have become incredibly greedy, not caring what would be needed to meet their gains.  The constant darkness of their natural environment has forced their bodies to adapt.  This gives them some sort of peripheral sense, thus their eyes glow red.  The rigid environment in which a goblin lives has hardened these subterranean dwellers, making them difficult to knock down, and even harder to kill.

However, living in such a natural environment, where savage rule has almost become a natural part of life, these goblins have become devoid of their natural common sense and the swiftness of a normal reason.  Goblins therefore as a rule tend to stray from the powers of good.  However, they are not at all deceptive and wicked.  They are very adept in the arts of betrayal, and it is well known that lowering your guard to a goblin is almost a definite trip to the cemetery.  Goblins have the tendency to exercise their adeptness at backstabbing, and since they come from an environment where every movement results in an echo, they are extremely skilled at moving around without making a sound.
